San Francisco day 2

To start the day off we hoped in the car at 7:10am to leave for Google. This was an hour drive. You soon learn A lot about LA traffic. I saw a lady clipping her nails while waiting in traffic because there was a bad accident. Then 1hour and 30 mins later we ended up at Google. What I appreciated most about Google was the fact that they valued each and everyone of their workers. The benefits were insane! They had mental health counseling, masseuse, bike storage, shuttles to get you to and from work, micro kitchens on every floor, restaurants and cafes in every building, gyms, laundry, a tech stop for chargers and anything technology related, and dry cleaning pick up and delivery. Google was also a very aesthetically pleasing place, with one building representing every one of the many buildings worldwide. Though, we toured Google Cloud, it was so interesting to learn that Google does tie into what I want to do with my career. It's much more than just engineering, databases, and marketing. Google is connected to Youtube. Being connected to Youtube gives us a lot of options for videos for youtube, a media manager, and things such as product design. Then after Google we went and saw Playstation. What I appreciated about Playstation was they were on the more creative aspect. Though Playstation is in the works of a major project, seeing the audio and the best in the Play station business was extraordinary. You could literally read who someone was by seeing their office room. While Google was wide open, I loved how Playstation was dark but had a window on every door, so you could see there was human life, while working on a long project. I also appreciated seeing that there is a lot more that goes into making a video game than you aspected. Literally projects take 3-4 year, and music is one of the most important parts. The music we heard for the Spiderman video game was so moving, as X put it she felt like she could conquer anything with music like that. I also appreciate that for interns they pay them and give them housing, and all the benefits you get as an employee. I think both places you could tell they definitely cared for the people working for them. There was a lot of value towards. employees that for me, would make me never want to leave.
